TATTERSALLS IRELAND TO STAGE NEW EVENT HORSE SALE IN SEPTEMBER

Tattersalls Ireland is pleased to announce an all new sale for top quality Event horses to be held at its Ratoath based sales and equestrian complex on Sunday 12th September 2010. The sale will be the first of its kind to be staged in Ireland and will be called the Tattersalls Ireland Elite Event Horse Sale.

The sale will comprise both proven and potential event horses and will provide a unique opportunity for top quality event horses to trial for prospective purchasers at Ireland's premier Cross Country course which is the venue for the prestigious Tattersalls Ireland International Horse Trials.

Commenting on the new Sale, Tattersalls Ireland Managing Director George Mernagh said:

"The Tattersalls Ireland Elite Event Horse Sale will be unique in Ireland. The sale will feature both a pre - selected number of elite event horses as well as an open section of proven and potential event horses which should appeal to a wide cross section of buyers. Vendors will be able to showcase the abilities of their horses around our superb Cross Country course where we already host Ireland's premier three day event and have regularly hosted the Future Event Horse League finals. This is an exciting new venture for Tattersalls Ireland and a logical progression building upon the enormously successful International Horse Trials which are taking place here this week."

The sale will be open to proven and potential event horses of all ages with the Tattersalls Ireland selection team to decide which horses qualify for the 'elite' section. Viewing of the 'elite lots' will be by appointment only prior to the sale, with lots from the open section available for trial on the morning of the sale.
