Following on from his win in the Grade 3 Paddy Power Gold Cup Chase at Cheltenham, it was a facile victory for August Sale graduate, Tranquil Sea in the Grade 2 Newlands Chase at Leopardstown yesterday. Tranquil Sea was well settled from the early stages of the race and despite a challenge from Natal, the Sea Raven gelding always looked to be traveling well.

Tranquil Sea was sold at the 2005 August National Hunt Sale by Edward Curtin for €10,000 to William F. Codd.
