Preview of Tattersalls Ireland August Sale 2010.

The Tattersalls Ireland August Sale catalogue is now available. There are 623 lots catalogued for this year’s sale which takes place on the 10th-11th August. All three and four year olds catalogued are eligible to run in the new €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland Sales Bumper run at Fairyhouse Racecourse Easter Festival next year. In addition all three and four year old fillies are eligible for the valuable three race ITBA N.H fillies’ scheme.

All the leading sires have progeny catalogued including: Accordion, Bach, Bob Back, Brian Boru, Coudings, Flemensfirth, High Chaparral, Indian River, Kalanisi, Kayf Tara, King’s Theatre, Marju, Milan, Old Vic, Oscar, Presenting, Shantou, Subtle Power, Vinnie Roe, Winged Love and Zagreb. There are a select bunch of horses in training also, including three from Gormanstown Stables. They include lot 151 Emotional Melody a Saddlers Hall Mare, half sister to Emotional Moment and placed a multitude of times over obstacles. Lot 156 is Mr Caveman, a point to point winner this year. There are siblings or close relations to the following catalogued; Oscar Dan Dan, Favourite Girl, Trafford Lad, Roll Along, Garrai Ard, Native Stag, Wheresben, Clipsy, On the Other Hand, Hangover Square, Concert Pianist, Saddler’s Native, Control Man, Best Wait and Arrive Sir Clive, St Pirran, The Wicket Keeper and La Zingarella, Hollo Ladies, One Cool Cookie and In Compliance, Snoopy Loopy and Royal Signature, Danehill Willy, Arteea, Frontier Lady, Our Bob, Magnanimity, The Galway Man, Snow Blessed and Shandon Star, Too Forward, Stewarts House, Pollys Dream, Regal Heights and Charlie Yardbird, Palua, Font, Another Jewel, Hati Roy, Wymott, Lala Nova, Four Chimneys and Russian Tune.

Graduates of Tattersalls Ireland have had an excellent year on the racetrack this year with no less than 11 winners at this year’s Cheltenham festival. August Sale graduates include Ballyholland, Drumbaloo, Tricky Trickster, Tranquil Sea, Merchant Paddy, Oscar Time, Tarablaze, Premier Victory and Killyglen, to name but a few.

There will also be a number of horses catalogued in the August Catalogue who were unable to make the Derby Sale and they should create considerable interest, including Ardrums House Studs’ three year old gelding by Presenting out of Shuil Dorcha. There is a late entry, lot 64A, catalogued in the Derby Sale from Glenwood Stud; this is a three year old gelding by Presenting out of the winning Be My Adelina.

As with all sales, Irish Thoroughbred Marketing will contribute towards the travel expenses of overseas purchasers.
