BARBILL wins the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes

BARBILL provided UK trainer Mick Channon with victory in the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes on Longines Irish Champions Weekend at the Curragh yesterday.

A strong field of 20 runners went to post, including nine UK runners, and it was the son of Zebedee under John Egan who hit the front with a furlong and a half from home to secure victory for owner Mrs Susan Bunney. BARBILL was purchased by Gill Richardson Bloodstock at last year's September Yearling Sale from Croom House Stud for €30,000. September Yearling Sale and Part II winners keep flowing in and to date, two-year-old graduates have won 103 races this season alone.

Tattersalls Ireland 2018 September Yearling Sale and Part II takes place from Tuesday 25 to Thursday 27 September. The catalogue is available or online www.tattersalls.ie. Tattersalls Ireland and Irish Thoroughbred Marketing are available to assist with any travel and accommodation requirements by contacting the offices.

All yearlings catalogued for the September Yearling Sale and Part II are eligible for the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Race 2019.
