FIFTH GRADE 1 VICTORY FOR DERBY SALE GRADUATE CUE CARD

CUE CARD, owned by Mrs Jean Bishop, was sold at the 2009 Derby Sale by Goldford Stud for €52,000 to Aidan Kennedy.

Former Champion Hurdle winner ROCK ON RUBY returned to the winner’s enclosure on Saturday at Ascot. By dictating the race, Harry Fry’s charge pulled away gamely from the field winning the Grade 2 Coral Hurdle comfortably.

The Festival Goers have enjoyed numerous successes with the ten-year-old son of Oscar, earning over £635,000 in prize money and costing just €23,000 at the 2005 November National Hunt Sale when sold to Whitehorse Stud by Ballyclerihan House Stud.

At Navan on Sunday, RIVERSIDE CITY claimed the feature contest, the Troytown Handicap Chase in an exciting finish. The Presenting six-year-old proved he had stamina in abundance and jumped well throughout the race.

Trained by Gordon Elliott and running in the colours of JP McManus, RIVERSIDE CITY was sold at the 2009 November National Hunt Sale by Blackwater Stud for €20,000 to John O’Byrne.
