Sunnyhill Stud continue the Gold Cup legacy at this year’s February National Hunt Sale with Lot 34, a Stowaway colt out of a full sister to 2005 Gold Cup winner KICKING KING (pictured). Another previous and more recent Gold Cup winner BOBS WORTH is represented in the pedigree ofLot 47, a colt by Getaway out of half-sister Blessingindesguise from Bishopstown Stud. BEST MATE is considered to be one of the Gold Cup all-time greats and closely related to him is Lot 225, a Flemensfirth colt from Ridge Manor Stud.

As the Cheltenham Festival is at the forefront of everyone’s minds, many of the Festival greats feature in this year’s February National Hunt Sale catalogue. A half-sister to dual Festival winner SIMONSIG by Yeats is offered in the two-year-old section as Lot 18. In the yearling section, multiple Cheltenham winner ALBERTAS RUN is featured in the page of Lot 33 andLot 123. Lot 73 is out of a sister to Champion Bumper winners WITHER OR WHICH & ALEXANDER BANQUET. Yellowford Farm consign Lot 155, a Getaway filly out of a half-sister to WICHITA LINEMAN and multiple Grade 1 winner RHINESTONE COWBOY. The mares section also offers the unique opportunity to purchase into the family of a recent Cheltenham winner. Cordowna is a half-sister to World Hurdle winner MORE OF THAT and is offered in foal to Shirocco Lot 262.
