INCREASES ACROSS THE BOARD AT NOVEMBER NATIONAL HUNT SALE 2011

It was also satisfying to sell a foal for €100,000 in addition to the increases in the turnover, average and median. The contraction in the number of horses offered has invariably helped drive demand for stock. It was pleasing to see our usual UK customers and to see a number of French purchasers compete with domestic buyers for stock. It is also worth commending the degree of professionalism shown by our vendors.

We have again had an outstanding year with our national hunt graduates on the racetrack with no less than 20 winners at the Cheltenham Festival in particular over the past two years and the demand for quality at all our Sales has surpassed our most optimistic expectations for 2011.

The Irish bloodstock market continues to show considerable resilience in increasingly uncertain economic times and with solid gains made at all our sales this year we have every reason to look forward to the 2012 Season with continued optimism. The Breeders Flat Sale concludes the Sales Season at Tattersalls Ireland this coming Sunday the 13th November.
