Outstanding Solita to be sold at Tattersalls Ireland February NH Sale

February National Hunt Sale

Lot 278A: Solita (IRE), Filly by King's Theatre (IRE) ex Wind Over Water (IRE)

Black type mares by the outstanding King's Theatre (IRE) are crown jewels for any serious National Hunt breeder and Solita offers breeders a rare opportunity to acquire a foundation broodmare.

A seven time winner, who's finest hour on the racecourse was arguably her victory in the Grade 2 Boylesports Novice Handicap Chase (pictured), who hails from an attractive dual purpose family that goes back to classic winners Love Divine (GB) and Sixties Icon (GB). She is consigned by Toberona House Stables on behalf of her owner/breeder Mr. Robert Hennelly and is sold with a fillies' examination certificate.

Mr. Hennelly is also selling two offspring of his prolific race mare Moscova (IRE) at the Cheltenham Sales on 15 February. Moyhenna (IRE), by Westerner (GB), looked a filly with a bright future when winning a very competitive bumper on at Punchestown on New Year's Eve and she will be joined by her sister Moskovite (IRE), by Flemensfirth (USA), who showed a touch of class to win on the 5yo mares maiden on her debut at Killeagh last Sunday.

Additional wildcard entries include:

Lot 278B: Filly by Oscar (IRE) ex Young Lady (IRE)

This 4yo daughter of Oscar (IRE) coming from Canterbrook Stud is from the immediate family of Charlie Egerton's top class Teaatral (GB) who won 15 races during his career. The resilient son of Saddler's Hall (IRE) won three Grade 2 Hurdles including the Long Distance Hurdle at Ascot. It is also the family of Mill Reef Stakes winner Sufficant (GB). This filly is sold with a fillies' examination certificate.

Lot 278C: Jambes Chaudes (IRE) filly by Westerner (GB) ex Banna's (IRE)
