SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND FOR DERBY SALE GRADUATES

THE NEW ONE did not favour ground conditions but ran on well in the closing stages to eventually win the Grade 2 Champion Hurdle Trial two and a half lengths ahead of his nearest rival at Haydock on Saturday. Nigel Twiston-Davies stable star remains on target for the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham.

THE NEW ONE, sold on three separate occasions at Tattersalls Ireland, was eventually sold at the 2011 Derby Sale by Cleaboy Stud and Coppice Farm when selling to Highflyer Bloodstock for €25,000.

WOUNDED WARRIOR dominated the field to win the Grade 2 Woodlands Park 100 Club Novice Chase at Naas to win the contest by nine and a half lengths. This win is a career highlight for the six-year-old son of Shantou who has previously won a Point to Point, Bumper and over Hurdles.
