Three Timer for Tattersalls Ireland on Day 2 of the Cheltenham Festival

YORKHILL, who was bred by Patrick Keating, was sold as a foal at the 2010 November National Hunt Sale by Parkview Farm for €41,000 to Ian Ferguson.

A red-hot renewal of the Coral Cup went to post and it was Derby Sale graduate DIAMOND KING that took the title ahead of fellow Tattersalls Ireland graduate Long House Hall. Davy Russell produced a fine ride on Gordon Elliott’s charge who won the biggest prize of his career to date. Owned by Mrs Diana L Whateley, the graduate of the Derby Sale was bought by Aiden Murphy for €95,000 from Goldford Stud.

It was a 1-2-3 for Tattersalls Ireland in the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase with ANY CURRENCY returning to his very best to score a well-deserved victory ahead of Josies Orders in second place and Bless The Wings finishing in third.

ANY CURRENCY is a graduate of the November National Hunt Sale. He was sold by Killeenagallive Stud for €7,000 to Moanmore Stud.

Tattersalls Ireland will stage the Cheltenham Festival Sale tomorrow evening, Thursday March 17th at 6.15pm in the Winners Enclosure. The catalogue is available to view online at www.tattersalls.ie.
