Gold Cup treble completed for Jessica Harrington’s hero SIZING JOHN

All the way to the line in one of the most memorable races of this season which left spectators on the edge of their seats, the Irish Gold Cup and Cheltenham Gold Cup champion SIZING JOHN displayed true grit and determination to land the Grade 1 Punchestown Gold Cup and complete the Gold Cup treble for his connections Ann and Alan Potts, trainer Jessica Harrington and jockey Robbie Power. 

Fabulous FAYONAGH completed the Cheltenham/Punchestown Grade 1 Champion Bumper double yesterday with ease. The six-year-old mare, who was only purchased by her connections just four months ago, proved her ability by winning the contest by five and a half lengths for trainer Gordon Elliott, owner Mrs Maura Gittins and her jockey Jamie Codd. 

Tattersalls Ireland also celebrated further successes at Punchestown with Jessica Harrington’s MAGIC OF LIGHT winning the Martinstown Opportunity Series Final Handicap Hurdle and Colin Tizzard’s SIZING GRANITE landing the Guinness Handicap Chase.
