16 Sep 2025 Share on X Share on Facebook Alparslan Too Strong and has Group 1 Dewhurst Option Alparslan was a €75,000 purchase from Coole House Farm by Federico Barberini.Alparslan produced a performance of the highest calibre when running out a three-and-a-half length winner of the €250,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes at The Curragh on Sunday.The Super Auction Sales Stakes attracted six representatives from the UK, and comprised of seven previous winners. Alparslan raced prominently throughout the extended six furlong contest, and quickly sealed the race when surging clear inside the final furlong.The son of Dandy Man created a big impression when readily winning on debut at Leicester, and this performance was further proof that the Karl Burke-trained juvenile looks well above average.He was a €75,000 purchase from Mark Dreeling’s Coole House Farm by Federico Barberini, and now runs in the colours of Mohamed Saeed Al Shehhi. He holds entries in the Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes and the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes.Federico Barberini purchased Alparslan from Coole House Stud.It was a ninth UK trained winner of the valuable sales race in 12 years, confined to horses sold or bought in under the hammer at the September Yearling Sale and Sapphire Sale.The catalogue for the 2025 September Yearling Sale is available to view online. Horses will be available for viewing from Sunday 21st September.
