I’ll Sort That Makes All In Grade 1 Ballymore

Store sale graduate I'll Sort That won the Grade 1 Ballymore Novice Hurdle.

Store sale graduate I’ll Sort That maintained his rapid ascent within the novice hurdle division with victory in the Grade 1 Ballymore Novice Hurdle at Naas.

The Declan Queally-trained six-year-old was making it four successive wins over hurdles, and this represented a career best effort, as he made virtually all the running to win the first Grade 1 of 2026.

He was purchased at the 2023 May Store Sale from Beechlane Stables by Patrick Crowley, and it marked a significant milestone for the trainer, as the success was his first at Grade 1 level.

The victory was even sweeter for Waterford based Queally, as he partnered the David Needham-owned son of Sandmason to victory. He battled on bravely when challenged by the eventual runner-up on the stiff climb to the finish, and had two-and-a-half lengths to spare at the finish.

A dual bumper winner earlier this year, his rate of improvement has been remarkable, with maiden and novice hurdle victories at Listowel and Galway, followed by Grade 3 success in the For Auction Novice Hurdle at the Navan Racing Festival.

Inspections for the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale will commence over the coming months, with nominations for Ireland’s Premier Store Sale closing on 30th January.
