Tattersalls Ireland Unveils Strongest Breeze Up Sale Catalogue Yet

252 juveniles have been catalogued for the Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale.

Europe’s most dynamic breeze-up sale returns on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd May, with Tattersalls Ireland unveiling its strongest catalogue to date following exceptional support from vendors.

Now available online at tattersalls.ie and from Tattersalls Ireland representatives from Tuesday, 7th April, the catalogue features 252 two-year-olds by 79 sires, including 52 out of black-type mares and 59 siblings to black-type winners.

The 2025 edition of the sale produced over 60 individual winners, including AMERICA QUEEN who made a scintillating debut just 41 days after being sold, and later went on to finish second in the Group 2 Lowther Stakes. NOBODY KNOWS remains unbeaten after two starts and holds Group 1 entries, while there was Group 3 success in Italy for DR OMRAN and Listed success in the US for VASY.

ONESMOOTHOPERATOR continues to ply his trade at a high level in Australia, and he landed the Group 2 Moonee Valley Gold Cup late last year. The return of CITY OF MEMPHIS is eagerly anticipated after a solid effort in the Irish 1,000 Guineas last season.

A total of 43 Group or Grade 1 winning sires are represented in the catalogue including KINGMAN, SIOUX NATION, INVINCIBLE SPIRIT, WOOTTON BASSETT, AUSTRALIA, STARSPANGLEDBANNER, NIGHT OF THUNDER, SANDS OF MALI, SPACE BLUES, NO NAY NEVER, STARMAN, COTAI GLORY, DARK ANGEL, NEW BAY, SEA THE STARS, SERGEI PROKOFIEV, SIYOUNI, AND JUSTIFY. Commenting on the release of the Breeze Up Sale catalogue, Tattersalls Ireland CEO Simon Kerins said:

“The Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale continues to go from strength to strength, and the level of vendor support we have received this year reflects the confidence the market has in this sale. Demand for places was unprecedented, and that is clearly reflected in the strength of this year’s catalogue.

“The success of our graduates on the racecourse remains a key driver. From classic prospects such as America Queen and Nobody Knows to stakes winners across Europe, the United States and Australia. The 2025 edition of the sale saw 23 different nations on the final purchaser table, and these graduates are competing successfully in racing jurisdictions across the globe.

“A major factor in the sale’s continued growth is our ability to use a world class facility on our door step. The team at Fairyhouse Racecourse produce optimum ground conditions, and the proximity of the sales complex to the racecourse lends itself to a seamless process moving between both venues.

“Irish Thoroughbred Marketing play a hugely important role in the continued growth of this sale, and we are very appreciative of the work they do in promoting our sale on the international stage. Alongside our own marketing team, we look forward to building on this momentum and welcoming clients from around the world on the 21st and 22nd May.”
