Winning Four-Year-Olds Added to May Point-to-Point & Horses in Training Sale

A total of 86 horses have been catalogued in Thursday’s May Point-to-Point & Horses in Training Sale, which features winning four-year-olds from some of Ireland’s leading point-to-point handlers.

The Horses in Training section includes a draft from leading owners Robcour, whose horses all possess winning form, while recent winning and placed bumper form is offered too.

The 2025 edition has produced 27 individual winners of 41 races, headlined by FRENCH DYNAMITE who claimed the Munster National at Limerick last October.

Additional entries have been made to the May Point-to-Point and Horses in Training Sale catalogue, with a number of recent winning four-year-olds added to the sale.

NATURALENERGY created a strong impression when taking the first division of the four-year-old geldings maiden at Tattersalls Ireland on Sunday. The son of Affinisea was ridden patiently throughout the contest, but made eye-catching headway as the race developed inside the final half mile.

He landed in front at the second last, and stuck on bravely to win by two-and-a-half-lengths.

BINGO BUS has also been added after his 13-length victory in the second division of the four-year-old geldings maiden at Tattersalls Ireland.

The son of Nirvana Du Berlais showed a sharp turn of foot to assume control between the third and second last fences, and a good jump two out took him clear of the field.

He maintained a strong gallop all the way to the line, with Tom Keating’s COOL OFF back in second. The runner-up has also been added to Thursday’s sale.

GALANT JEWEL showed marked improvement from first to second start and coasted home 13 lengths clear of her rivals in the four-year-old mares maiden at Tattersalls Ireland.

James Kenny’s mare dominated throughout, leading from early in the contest, and some solid jumping meant her rivals struggled to keep tabs on her.

She is out of an unraced daughter of the smart Galant Ferns, her dam being a half-sister to the Grade 2 winning novice chaser City Chief.

MIDNIGHT MYSTIQUE is another four-year-old that showed significant improvement from first to second start and he came home a 12 length winner at Ballingarry on Saturday.

SAM SMOKE won a competitive mares maiden at Ballingarry, where she stayed on strongly for pressure to win for Thomas Byrnes’ stable.

The above mentioned four-year-olds join HARZWOOD, DAN DE CHAMP, FORTUNATE MISS and KINGSIDE LADY, all of whom offer recent winning form.

Among the winning five-year-olds added to the catalogue are MR CAULFIELD and GEORGE DUNDEE.

John Walsh’s Mr Caulfield made all to win the five-year-old geldings maiden at Tattersalls Ireland, where he dictated from the outset and came home five lengths clear.

Sean Doyle’s George Dundee took the second division of the five-year-old geldings maiden at Tattersalls Ireland, showing improvement on his previous form to score by five-and-a-half lengths.

The May Point-to-Point & Horses in Training Sale will commence at 1pm on Thursday, with horses available for viewing from 1pm on Wednesday.
