27 May 2026 Share on X Share on Facebook Bumper Second Power Steering Added to May Point-to-Point & Horses in Training Sale Power Steering was narrowly denied in Tuesday's bumper at Ballinrobe and is a notable addition to Thursday's sale.POWER STEERING who was narrowly denied on his racecourse debut at Ballinrobe yesterday is a notable addition to Thursday’s May Point-to-Point & Horses in Training Sale.The son of Poet’s Word travelled strongly throughout that bumper on Tuesday evening, and looked the most likely winner at various stages, but was just outpointed by a more experienced rival.There was a lot of positives to take from that debut effort, and being a half-brother to the dual Grade 1 winner Battleoverdoyen, the likelihood is that he will come into his own over obstacles and racing over trips in excess of two miles.A total of 89 lots are catalogued in tomorrow’s sale, which includes a five strong draft from leading owners Robcour, all of whom possess winning form and have ratings over hurdles and fences.A number of recent winning four-year-olds will be offered by some of Ireland’s leading point-to-point handlers, among them, last weekend’s winners NATURALENERGY, MIDNIGHT MYSTIQUE and GALANT JEWEL.Other four-year-olds that look sure to capture the interest of potential buyers are KINGSIDE LADY who looked an above average sort when winning by six lengths on debut, while HARZWOOD went onto many shortlists after coasting home by six-and-a-half lengths on his debut earlier this month.The 2025 edition of the sale has produced an impressive 27 individual winners of 41 races, headlined by FRENCH DYNAMITE who landed the Munster National back in October for trainer Eric McNamara.All horses will be available for viewing from 1pm today, with the sale set to commence from 1pm tomorrow.
