November National Hunt Sale Catalogue Now Online

The catalogue for the November National Hunt Sale, which takes place from Monday 9th November to Wednesday 11th November is now online. The sale will commence at 11am on Monday 9th, and will start at 10am on the second and third day.

The November National Hunt Sale last year produced the highest foal average and highest foal median of any National Hunt sale. The 2025 edition also produced four six figure foals, and those four prices ended the year as the four highest priced foals sold anywhere.

Some of the leading National Hunt stallions represented in the catalogue are: Poet’s Word (62), Affinsea (45), Harzand (41), Maxios (36), Hurricane Lane (29), Martinborough (29), Order Of St George (25), Walk In The Park (22), Santiago (20), Jeu St Eloi (22), Jukebox Jury (28), Authorized (12), Blue Bresil (10), Logician (8), Nirvana Du Berlais (8), Masked Marvel (5), Crystal Ocean (5), Golden Horn (3), No Risk At All (3), Old Persian (3), Doctor Dino (2), Nathanial (2), Tunis (2) and Goliath Du Berlais (1).

The crops of sires whose first foals will be offered are always eagerly anticipated, and among those on offer are those of the four-time Group 1 winner Luxembourg (41), the dual Group 1 runner-up Arrest (19), and the English and Irish St Leger winner Eldar Eldarov (3). The first crop of French based stallions Nietzsche Has (5), winner of the Grade 2 Finale Hurdle, and Grade 3 winner Leon Du Berlais (1) have also been catalogued.

The catalogue is headlined by foals with strong black type pedigrees, including siblings to Grade 1 winners FRODON and STORMING GEORGE.

Siblings to Grade 2 and Grade 3 winners feature, and include a Poet’s Word half-sister to Grade 2 winner COLCANNON, a Jukebox Jury half-brother to multiple Grade 2 winner IMPERVIOUS, and a Harzand half-brother to Grade 3 winner EMBITTERED. A Harzand half-brother to dual Grade 2 winner OSCARS BROTHER is included, along with a Poet’s Word half-brother to Grade 3 winner SHECOULDBEANYTHING.

Grade 1 winning mares GITANE DU BERLAIS, AUGUSTA KATE and ASHROE DIAMOND are among the top-class dams represented, together with talented Grade 2 winning mares ALLEGORIE DE VASSY, BRIDES HILL, ALLETRIX, BALLYSHANNON ROSE, SASSY DIVA and TOUBEERA.

A significant number of foals in the catalogue are the progeny of well-related dams. A Blue Bresil colt out of an own-sister to Grade 2 winner Jetara is sure to prove popular, his sibling having sold for €135,000 last November. A Jeu St Eloi filly out of a half-sister to the dual Grade 2 winner Conflated will also feature.

Graduates of the November National Hunt Sale did exceptionally well earlier this year at the Derby Sale. A son of Poet’s Word that was purchased for €20,000 in November 2023 was sold in June for €165,000, a son of Santiago realised €170,000 having been purchased for €22,000 in November 2023, while a daughter of Walk In The Park was sold for €115,000 having been purchased as a foal for €37,000.

A number of November National Hunt Sale graduates tasted success at the highest level during the 2025/26 season. THE MOURNE RAMBLER landed the Grade 1 Champion Bumper at Cheltenham, while JOHNNY’S JURY claimed the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle. Elsewhere, OLD PARK STAR and STORMING GEORGE won high profile Grade 1 at the spring festivals, while HEART WOOD gained a deserved first Grade 1 success in the Ryanair Chase.

The November National Hunt Sale catalogue will be available from Tattersalls Ireland, and Tattersalls Ireland representatives from Wednesday 14th October.
