1-2-3 IN GRADE 1 NOVICE CHASE FOR TATTERSALLS IRELAND

Galway Plate winner CARLINGFORD LOUGH got the better of fellow Tattersalls Ireland graduates Morning Assembly (a €15,000 2011 August NH Sale graduate) and Foxrock (purchased for €15,000 at the 2011 Derby Sale) in a fighting finish to win the Grade 1 Novice Chase. Partnered by Tony McCoy in the colours of JP McManus and trained by John Kiely, the son of the late King’s Theatre got a smooth jump at the last and maintained momentum to claim victory.

CARLINGFORD LOUGH was sold at the 2006 November National Hunt Sale by Kenilworth House Stud for €80,000 to John O’Byrne.
