1-2 FOR TATTERSALLS IRELAND IN A CRACKING RENEWAL OF GRADE 1 AINTREE HURDLE

THE NEW ONE was sold at Tattersalls Ireland on three separate occasions. Firstly as a foal at the 2008 November National Hunt Sale by Millbrook selling to Justin Rea for €9,500. He was then sold as a yearling at the 2009 November National Hunt Sale by Fairgreen Stables for €26,000 to Philip Dempsey. THE NEW ONE was finally sold as a three-year-old at the 2011 Derby Sale by Cleaboy Stud and Coppice Farm for €25,000 to Highflyer Bloodstock.

Rock On Ruby was sold at the 2005 November National Hunt Sale by Ballyclerihan House Stud for €23,000 to Whitehorse Stud.

The Derby Sale produced a second success on day 1 of the Aintree Grand National Festival for Tattersalls Ireland with the Sam Waley-Cohen ridden WARNE winning the Fox Hunter’s Chase for Northern Irish trainer Brian Hamilton and in the colours of Sam’s father Robert Waley-Cohen. The ten-year-old Bob Back gelding took to jumping the Grand National fences in his stride displaying an immaculate round over the obstacles.  

WARNE was sold as a foal at the 2004 November National Hunt Sale by Wesley Trimble for €21,000 to Curragh Bloodstock Agency. As a three-year-old, WARNE was sold at the 2007 Derby Sale by Castledillon Stud for €50,000 to Nigel Anderton.
