Aintree off to a Grade 1 winning start for Tattersalls Ireland & FLYING ANGEL

A forgettable Cheltenham turned into a memorable Aintree for trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies as the opening race of the Grand National meeting, the Grade 1 Manifesto Novices’ Chase was won determinedly by Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale graduate FLYING ANGEL in the colours of RJ Rexton under jockey Noel Fehily. A Grade 2 winner at Warwick in February when partnered by Twiston-Davies son Willy, the son of Arcadio was hampered badly at the Cheltenham Festival but soon found solace with today’s impressive and well deserved victory.
