The first sale of 2023 will take place on Tuesday 31 January and the catalogue for the February National Hunt Sale is now available to view online.

Featuring brothers and sisters to a host of top-class National Hunt black type winners the sale will begin with two-year-olds selling from 10am Tuesday, followed by 246 yearlings and a selection of broodmares selling in the evening.

It was a timely win for February National Hunt Sale graduate CHAMP KIELY when he secured Grade 1 honours on Sunday. The son of Ocovango was the emphatic winner of the Grade 1 Lawlor's of Naas Novice Hurdle providing his trainer Willie Mullins with his eighth win in the race. CHAMP KIELY was sold for as little as €5,800 at the 2017 renewal of the February National Hunt Sale by Ennel Bloodstock to Michael Murray.

The 2023 catalogue features half brothers and sisters to several Graded and Listed winners including the WALK IN THE PARK half-sister to Grade 1 winner DUNVEGAN, the POET'S WORD half-brother to FRONTAL ASSAULT and the SOLDIER OF FORTUNE half-sister to CAPUCCIMIX. Other Black Type performers whose siblings feature among the catalogue include SPORTING JOHN, NOTACHANCE, CAPTAIN CUTTER, ROBIN DE CARLOW, CLONDAW CASTLE and many more.

There are several foals out of Blacktype winning mares catalogued including a BLUE BRESIL filly out of the multiple Grade 1 winner ASIAN MAZE and a colt out Grade 3 winner OSCAR REBEL, and a HILLSTAR colt out of 11-time winner VOLER LA VEDETTE. A CRYSTAL OCEAN colt out of an own sister to Grade 1 winner BATTLEOVERDOYEN and a WALK IN THE PARK colt out of Grade 2 winning DARE TO DOUBT are amongst the other highlights.
