CATALOGUE NOW ONLINE FOR THE NOVEMBER NATIONAL HUNT SALE
The 2014 catalogue incorporates 1,492 lots commencing with the sale of NH yearlings on Monday 10th November, followed by four days of the best National Hunt foals on offer. The sale will conclude with older horses, fillies and broodmares selling on Saturday 15th November.
All the leading National Hunt Sires are well represented in the catalogue across all sections complemented by fabulous pedigrees with the best National Hunt progeny on offer. Sires represented include Robin des Champs, Oscar, Milan, Presenting, Beneficial, Flemensfirth, Shantou and Kayf Tara.
The second running of the National Hunt Yearling Show in association with the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association precedes the November National Hunt Sale and will take place on Sunday 9th November. All yearlings catalogued are eligible for the show which has a prize fund of €12,000.
The qualifiers for the Championship will start at 11am on Sunday with judging of the Championship at 2.30pm. The first prize for the leading colt or gelding is €2,500 and prizes are awarded to tenth place. For the fillies, there is a first prize of €2,000 and prize money down to fifth place. Highly regarded experts in the bloodstock industry have been selected to judge the National Hunt Yearling Show and these include Aiden Murphy, Paul Webber, Guy Petit and Tom Lacey and nominations for the Yearling show close at 12 noon on Friday 7th November.
