FAUGHEEN LANDS GRADE 1 NEPTUNE INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT NOVICES’ HURDLE FOR TATTERSALLS IRELAND

Maintaining his unbeaten record, the highly talented son of Germany stormed up the famous Cheltenham hill, winning the race by a wide margin of four and a half lengths.

FAUGHEEN, bred by Dr. John Waldron, was sold at the 2008 November National Hunt Sale by Coolnahay Stud for €4,000 to Peter Quinlan.

Further success for Tattersalls Ireland was celebrated with a win in the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase for the Philip Hobbs trained BALTHAZAR KING partnered by Richard Johnson for owners The Brushmakers. The son of King’s Theatre saw off opposition from fellow Tattersalls Ireland graduate Any Currency to beat him in a tight finish winning the race by a short head.

BALTHAZAR KING was sold at the 2004 November National Hunt Sale by Sunnyhill Stud for €25,000 to Ballyallia Stud.
