Gaynestown Stud’s EMBRACE THE DAY, trained by Jonathan Fogarty, is the latest high-profile addition to the May Point-to-Point and Horses in Training Sale catalogue. The four-year-old son of Fascinating Rock produced a strong staying performance to open his account on debut. Having raced prominently through the first half of the race, he was sent on inside the last half-mile, and despite facing a persistent challenge from the second last, he stayed on strongly for a two-length victory. Embrace The Day is out of the five-time winner Meri Devie, who was a smart dual-purpose performer, and whose form includes listed success and Grade 1 placing. He is a graduate of the 2024 Derby Sale, where he was purchased by Peter and Ross Doyle in partnership with Gaynestown Stud. Additionally, TWILIGHT VEIL and FOUR SPRINGS have been added to the catalogue. Twilight Veil is a four-year-old son of Getaway, and was runner-up to Embrace The Day on his most recent start. The Colin Bowe-trained four-year-old is out of the smart dual purpose mare Shadow Eile, whose form includes Grade 2 success as a novice hurdler. Four Springs was impressive on his debut when taking the four-year-old maiden at Necarne by 22 lengths. The son of Berkshire was ridden patiently through the first half of the contest, but made smooth headway through the final mile and asserted for an impressive victory. It was announced last week that the Robcour-owned duo JOURNEY WITH ME and ASPIRE TOWER will feature in the catalogue, while GOT GLORY was added to the catalogue on Monday.
