Grade 1 double for Tattersalls Ireland as Derby Sale graduate LOSTINTRANSLATION and CHAMP win at Aintree

Derby Sale and November Sale graduate LOSTINTRANSLATION stormed home to land the Grade 1 Betway Mildmay Novices' Chase on day two of the Aintree Grand National Festival in the hands of Robbie Power for trainer Colin Tizzard and owners Talyor and O'Dwyer. A son of Flemensfirth, the top-notch chaser LOSTINTRANSLATION was sold at the 2015 Derby Sale by Derrygrath Stud to Peter and Ross Doyle Bloodstock €38,000 and was also sold as a foal at the 2012 November NH Sale by Borris House to Derrygrath Stud. 


CHAMP certainly lived up to his name when convincingly landing the Grade 1 Doom Bar Sefton Novices' Hurdle for Nicky Henderson, JP McManus and Mark Walsh. The son of the late King's Theatre, CHAMP was sold by Baroda and Colbinstown Studs on behalf of breeders' Philip and Jane Myerscough at the 2012 November NH Sale for €40,000 to Aiden Murphy. 

The final race on day two, the Grade 2 Weatherbys Bumper was won comfortably by Derby Sale graduate MCFABULOUS in the colours of Giraffe Racing for trainer Paul Nicholls and jockey Harry Cobden. Only five, the son of Milan was sold by his breeder Vincent Finn at the 2017 Derby Sale to Tom Malone for €88,000. 
 
The opener on the day, the Grade 3 Merseyrail Handicap Hurdle was commandingly won by November NH Sale graduate THREE MUSKETEERS for Gordon Elliott, Frank McAleavy and Jack Kennedy. THREE MUSKETEERS was sold as a foal at the 2010 November NH Sale by Yellowford Farm to Oaktree Farm for €10,000. He was also offered at the Cheltenham May Sale by Camas Park.
