11 May 2026 Share on X Share on Facebook Group 3 Success for Breeze Up Sale Graduate City Of Memphis Breeze Up Sale graduate City Of Memphis won the Group 3 Mutamakina Stakes at Leopardstown.Breeze Up Sale graduate City Of Memphis made it three wins from four racecourse starts with victory in the Group 3 Mutamakina Stakes at Leopardstown on Sunday.The four-year-old filly was adding to her seasonal debut success at Gowran last month, and she looks set for another rise in class in the Group 2 Landwades Stud Stakes at the Tattersalls Guineas Festival later this month.The daughter of Sioux Nation was purchased from Katie Walsh’s Greenhills Farm by her trainer Paddy Twomey and Mark McStay’s Avenue Bloodstock at the 2024 Breeze Up Sale, and Twomey described her as “a very good filly” in the aftermath of her win on Sunday.Her purchase price of €370,000 in May 2024 made her the second most expensive filly ever sold at the Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale, and she looks a potential Group 1 prospect, given her lightly raced profile and the amount of improvement that is likely forthcoming.She is owned by the Zinlo Syndicate, and the group have enjoyed success with talented Breeze Up Sale graduates Purple Lily and Yellowstone Lake, both also trained by Paddy Twomey, in recent seasons.Elsewhere at the weekend, Caught U Sleeping won the Listed Naas Oaks Trial on Saturday and was adding to her maiden success at the course last August.The Noel Meade-trained filly was running over ten furlongs for the first time, and battled on well under Colin Keane.Caught U Sleeping won the Listed Naas Oaks Trial for trainer Noel Meade.She was sold by her breeders Tally-Ho Stud to Jones Bloodstock at the 2025 Breeze Up Sale.The catalogue for the Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale is online, and features a half-brother to the recent Group 3 Greenham Stakes winner ALPARSLAN, a half-sister to the precocious Group 2 winning juvenile RELIEF RALLY, and a half-brother to the Group 1 winning sprinter A CASE OF YOU.The Breeze Up Sale takes place on Friday 22nd May, commencing at 10am.The breeze takes place at neighbouring Fairyhouse Racecourse on Thursday 21st May, beginning at 8:30am.
