CRYSTAL DU BERLAIS and NOVA NAKO are the latest winning four-year-olds to be added to the May Point-to-Point and Horses in Training Sale catalogue. The Robert Tector owned and trained Crystal Du Berlais opened her account at Loughrea recently when landing the four-year-old mares maiden in good style. She was building on a promising debut effort earlier in the season, and proved far too strong for her rivals, as she pulled five lengths clear of the second. A graduate of the 2024 Derby Sale, the Crystal Ocean mare is a sibling to four individual winners, including recent Punchestown Festival winner Thanksforthehelp. Her dam is a half-sister to former high-class hurdlers Afsoun and Agrapart, both of whom tasted Grade 2 success and were Grade 1 performers. Nova Nako produced an impressive display last month at Dromahane where he travelled strongly throughout, and stretched away for a seven-and-a-half length victory. The son of Tirwanako is a sibling to two individual winners, while the second dam on his page is a half-sister to the Grade 2 winner I’msingingtheblues. The above mentioned pair join four-year-old maiden winners EMBRACE THE DAY and FOUR SPRINGS who were both added to the catalogue earlier this week. It was confirmed on Wednesday that Gavin Cromwell had entered five horses from his Danestown Stables. Among those entered are recent Cork winner KING OF THE BRONX, four-time winner RAILWAY HURRICANE, while their current draft is made up of JOUSTER, ROUTINE EXCELLENCE and THE DANCING TREE. It was announced last week that the 152-rated chaser JOURNEY WITH ME and dual Grade 2 winner ASPIRE TOWER will feature in the May Point-to-Point and Horses in Training Sale on May 29th.
