NICKY HENDERSON CELEBRATES GRADE 1 DOUBLE WITH TATTERSALLS IRELAND GRADUATES

2013 Gold Cup winner BOBS WORTH returned to his very best today at Leopardstown when winning an epic renewal of the Grade 1 Lexus Chase getting the better of fellow Tattersalls Ireland graduate First Lieutenant in a fighting finish.

BOBS WORTH was sold by his breeder, Lois C. Eadie as a foal at the 2005 November National Hunt Sale for €11,000 to Rathmore Stud who returned him as a yearling to the 2006 November National Hunt Sale selling the son of Bob Back to jockey Barry Geraghty for €18,500.

Trainer Nicky Henderson celebrated another Grade 1 success with Tattersalls Ireland graduate CAPTAIN CUTTER claiming victory in the Grade 1 Challow Novices’ Hurdle at Newbury making it his third consecutive win.

CAPTAIN CUTTER was sold as a foal at the 2007 November National Hunt Sale by Hollygrove Stud for €34,000 to Aiden Murphy.

A determined MOUNTAINOUS was the worthy winner of the Grade 3 Welsh National at Chepstow. Tattersalls Ireland graduate Tidal Bay, racing off top weight and a twelve-year-old finished a sensational third in the race.

MOUNTAINOUS was sold at the 2005 November National Hunt Sale by Glenbevan Stud for €28,000 to Ballyalla Farm. Mount Brown Farm returned the son of Milan to the 2008 Derby Sale, selling to Jonjo O’Neill for €50,000.
