NOVEMBER NATIONAL HUNT YEARLING SHOW

The objective of the show is for the judges to choose those horses that, in their opinions, are most likely to become top class national hunt racehorses- conformation, type, movement and pedigree will be taken into account.

To take part in the show, yearlings must initially be catalogued in the November National Hunt Sale of 2013 and then nominated for the show. The deadline to nominate yearlings to the show is 12pm on Friday the 8th of November. Nominations can be made by contacting Tattersalls on +353 1 8864300.

In order to ensure every yearling is judged thoroughly we will run qualifying heats on the morning of Sunday the 10th of November commencing at 11am. This time is subject to change if an earlier start is necessary.

The qualifying heats will be run in two separate rings with two judges in each ring. The judges will put forward yearlings that, in their opinions, are suitable for the Championship section of the show. All four judges will judge the Championship classes.  There will be separate qualifying heats and Championship for fillies.

The rings used for the qualifying heats will be situated in the outside showing areas of Barn G and Barn H. The Championships will be held in the pre-parade ring areas located at the centre of the Complex.

When nominations are finalised a list of horses will be assigned to qualifying heats. This list will be available from Saturday morning at the control office and throughout the barns.

Vendors are asked to have hip numbers on all lots for the purpose of the show – you will be issued with a new hip number for the day of the yearling sale.

Vendors are also asked to take note of the public address announcements relating to the show, your cooperation in the smooth running of the show is greatly appreciated.

All prize winners must be offered for sale on Monday 11th of November in order to receive their prizemoney.
