OUTSTANDING SET OF JUDGES CONFIRMED FOR THE 2014 TATTERSALLS IRELAND NOVEMBER NH YEARLING SHOW IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE ITBA

Paul Webber is a successful trainer, former Bloodstock agent, top flight Champion Amateur jockey who took over his father John’s license upon his death in 1995.  From a stable-strength of about 20 at that time, Cropredy Lawn has developed into a 63 box yard and horses like Flying Instructor, Carlito Brigante, Ulundi, Kew Green, Full House, Jungli, Tindaro and Alasi have won plenty of big races for the yard. Currently Australia Day, Cantlow and Time for Rupert are the flag-bearers. Paul recently trained his 500th winner.

Tom Lacey was born into a family steeped in the traditions of horseracing; Tom served his apprenticeship, breaking-in and schooling young horses under the legendary Captain Charles Radclyffe. He worked as a pupil assistant trainer at two prominent National Hunt stables and rode successfully in Point-to-Points. He then progressed to become Head Lad for one of the country's leading flat trainers. He currently is pre training, breaking horses and training successfully and has had notable success from the Derby and August Sales in recent years.

Aiden Murphy is one of the best judges of Bloodstock in the UK or Ireland. The Cork native has had a close association with all the top trainers, particularly Philip Hobbs, to whom he has provided a steady flow of winners over the years including six of the last eight Grade 1 winners trained at Sandhill, such as Menorah, Captain Chris and Fingal Bay to name a few. He is married to and assistant to trainer Anabel Murphy.  He has been a consistent and leading buyer at Tattersalls Ireland every year.

Guy Petit is a successful Bloodstock agent who commenced his career as an apprentice and work rider, later worked in Denmark where he first began sourcing horses for clients.  Based in Normandy, Petit is renowned in the French Sales Arena for picking up inexpensive but successful race horses.  He mainly sources National Hunt Horses but he is equally accomplished in the flat arena having bought several Group and Stakes winners.

This is the second year of the Show which is again in association with the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association and the yearlings will be judged on confirmation, type, movement and pedigree.

To take part in the show, yearlings must initially be catalogued in this year’s November National Hunt catalogue and then nominated for the show. Deadline to nominate yearlings will be Friday 7th November.  The November National Hunt Sale takes place from November 9th – 16th and entries close on September 19th.
