Shark Two One battles home to win the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sale Stakes

Shark Two One provided UK trainer Richard Fahey with victory in the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes on Longines Irish Champions Weekend at the Curragh yesterday.

A cracking line up of 20 runners went to post, including eight UK runners, and it was the son of Adaay under Colin Keane who fought hard to hold on against Star of Orion to secure victory for owner Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa. Shark Two One was sold at last year’s September Yearling Sale by Shinglis Stud to Longways Stables for €40,000. September Yearling Sale Part I and Part II graduates keep impressing on the track this season including Saturday’s Group 1 Matron Stakes winner Champers Elysees as well as Dandalla, Aloha Star and Aztec Parade to name but a few.

Tattersalls Ireland 2020 September Yearling Sale has relocated to Park Paddocks, Newmarket on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 September. The catalogue features a number of exciting updates and includes siblings to recent Group and Listed winners such as Champers Elysees, Dandalla, Gear Up, Ubettabelieveit, Minzaal and many more.

All yearlings catalogued for the September Yearling Sale and Part II are eligible for the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Race 2021.
