Tattersalls Ireland Announces New Incentive for Sapphire Sale Following Record-Breaking September Yearling Sale

Tattersalls Ireland is pleased to announce a new incentive ahead of the upcoming Sapphire Sale. Foal purchasers will be guaranteed at least a place in Part II of the 2026 September Yearling Sale with foals purchased at this year’s Sapphire Sale in December.

This initiative follows a year of remarkable momentum for Tattersalls Ireland, most notably the September Yearling Sale which delivered extraordinary record-breaking results. The sale attracted a broad buying bench, with significant international participation, reinforcing Fairyhouse’s position as a must attend sale for buyers from the UK, Europe, USA, the Middle East and beyond.

Earlier this year, the Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale enjoyed similar success, further proving that buyers are not only coming to Fairyhouse – they are buying here in strength. Working alongside Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM), Tattersalls Ireland are committed to ensuring the continued growth of all our sales, and the introduction of this Sapphire Sale incentive will increase demand from foal pinhookers, and make the sale a viable alternative for foal vendors.

The foal entry fee of €295 provides vendors with an added consideration, and the new standalone date of 16 December was introduced in direct response to vendor feedback requesting a dedicated place in the sales calendar.

Entries for the Sapphire Sale will remain open until Friday 21st November.
