Tattersalls Ireland Staff Visit Jack de Bromhead Equine Centre

Staff from Tattersalls Ireland recently visited the Jack de Bromhead Equine Centre on the ChildVision campus in Drumcondra, Co Dublin. The visit gave the team a deeper understanding of the remarkable work being carried out to support children with sight loss and additional needs. The centre provides access to assessments, tailored learning facilities, and a range of therapies – including equine-assisted activities.

Created in memory of Jack de Bromhead, the state-of-the-art 1,375 sq.m. indoor therapeutic equine facility was completed within twelve months, a testament to the vision and determination of the de Bromhead family and their close friend Chris Jones, whose leadership was instrumental in bringing the project to fruition. Their commitment has ensured that children with visual impairments can benefit from world-class equine activities in a safe and purpose-built environment.

The centre is currently home to eight horses, with plans to expand to ten in order to meet growing demand. Among them is Bull, sponsored by Tattersalls Ireland, and described by Equine Unit Manager Lucy Dillon as having “a lovely movement and an amazing temperament.”
