The Sapphire Sale is the final sale of the year and comprises of flat bred foals, yearlings and breeding stock. The sale offers smaller Irish breeders an opportunity to showcase their stock prior to the major breeding stock sales in Europe, and its place in the calendar means it is the first European foal and breeding stock sale of the year.

The most high profile graduate of the sale is Matron Stakes winner Champers Elysees who was sold as foal for €12,500 in 2017. The 2023 edition saw a half-brother to Champers Elysees top the sale for €37,000. The sale has produced above average juveniles with Coventry Stakes winner The Lir Jet and Molecomb Stakes winner Steel Bull both purchased offered at this sale.

An added incentive for yearling purchasers is the opportunity to enter the lucrative €250,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes at The Curragh at the Irish Champions Festival.
