Tattersalls Ireland Winter Flat and National Hunt Sale will consist of Flat and National Hunt Foals and Yearlings. Formerly known as the February National Hunt Sale, the new sale title reflects the addition of flat yearlings to the sale. The sale will continue to offer National Hunt yearlings, but the addition of flat yearlings creates new opportunities for both our vendors and purchasers.
The 2026 catalogue featured yearlings from some of National Hunt racing’s most illustrious families, and it was a half-brother to Grade 1 placed Kazansky that emerged as the most expensive yearling.
Highest prices achieved in recent years include €85,000, €80,000, €70,000 and €62,000. A son of Walk In The Park, from the family of 10-time Grade 1 winner Envoi Allen, was the highest priced lot at the 2025 edition of the sale.
Among the high profile graduates from the sale are dual Grade 1 winner Champ Kiely, the Galway Plate and Grade 2 winner Western Fold, and the American Champion Hurdle winner Coutach. Other fast improving graduates from the sale are Barlovento and Calimystic, while Bentraghhill looks a horse of real potential after making an impressive debut at Leopardstown.
