Awesome Alparslan Impressive in Super Auction Sales Stakes

Robert Hall recaps on the €250,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes which has become a staple on the second day of the Irish Champions Festival from The Curragh.

The race is confined to horses that have been purchased or bought in under the hammer at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale, and Sapphire Sale.

A field of 16 horses contested Sunday’s race, and included seven previous winners and six UK based challengers.

Karl Burke’s Alparslan emerged victorious, coming home with three-and-a-half lengths to spare on his rivals. He was a €75,000 purchase from Mark Dreeling’s Coole House Farm by Federico Barberini in 2024.
