On the Road with Derby Sale Inspector Timmy Hillman

Inspections for the 2026 Derby Sale are in full swing, and Timmy Hillman was on the road in the Mercedes-Benz GLC. The luxurious GLC is the vehicle in which the vendor of the winning horse in the €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland MSL Mercedes-Benz Sales Bumper will drive away in.

Timmy travelled to Kilkenny to visit the Murphy family at Redpender Stud, and then went to see Peter Vaughan at Moanmore Stables. Both are highly respected consignors having sold Grade 1 winners at the Derby Sale in previous years.

All horses entered in the Derby Sale are eligible for the prestigious bumper, which will now be run at the Leopardstown Christmas Festival later this year.
